Oil Man Bows Out
After 36 years of “distinguished” service, New Zealander Leo Lonergan will retire from his position as chief procurement officer at Chevron in London. Executive vice president Jim Blackwell said: “During his tenure as chief procurement officer, Leo demonstrated a passion for integrity and transparency in all third-party relationships and served as a key member of our senior management team.” Lonergan, who began his career in 1976 with Caltex New Zealand, was appointed chief procurement officer in 2005. During his career, Lonergan has also worked in Australia, Singapore, the UK and the United Arab Emirates.
