Setting up Practice in a Nice Part of the World
New Zealand veterinarian Allan Rapley, 63, moved to North London’s Highgate Village in 2012 to transform an antiquarian bookshop into his own live-in practice “in a nice part of the world”.
The father-of-five and his wife create eye-catching displays in the shop window while the renovation is underway.
Rapley is interviewed by the Ham & High newspaper for a regular feature called, “My Highgate”.
Asked if he were editor of the publication for a day and could champion a local issue, Rapley said he would keep “green spaces free of development.”
“Where in the world would you twin with Highgate?”
“Wellington in New Zealand,” Rapley replied.
