Adventurer Captures NZ’s Untouched Beauty

Professional photographer, Belgian-born Johan Lolos, 28, travelled through New Zealand for one year exploring and photographing its beauty. His images have attracted more than 100,000 followers on Instagram.

“After my year travelling in Australia – I was a white sand beach guy and then I travelled to New Zealand’s South Island, and was totally overwhelmed by the beauty of the snowy alps, lakes, and mountains,” Lolos told Daily Mail.

“I was just totally inspired by this wilderness and untouched beauty which is something you can only get in New Zealand.”

Lolos lived in Wanaka for six months where he was able to pick up some freelance photography work taking snaps of the regions beautiful alpine terrain.

“Wanaka is the best place to live In New Zealand – but my favourite part is the fiords, they are just insane; [they’re] untouched just like Jurassic Park,” he said.

“When I arrived in New Zealand, I had 25,000 [Instagram] followers at the time, and I left the country with 165,000. I would never have imagined such huge support for my New Zealand photos from followers from all over the world.”
