Ash Vs. Evil Dead Trailer Released at Comic Con

The first Ash vs. Evil Dead trailer has been screened at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con.

“If anyone was on the fence about bringing the cult classic horror tale to the small screen, this trailer should assuage those jitters. It’s a hilarious, ultra-gory glimpse into what viewers have in store for them with the ten episode series”, writes Michael Taylor for the Examiner.

“When I was 17, I saw the first Evil Dead with my boyfriend, and I stomped out after five minutes, saying, ‘The people who made this are sick, misogynistic assholes and they should be in prison!’ And 12 years later, I was married to one of them”, said Lucy Lawless in an interview.

Lucy Lawless stars as Ruby, a doubting Thomas who holds Ash accountable for causing the supernatural disaster in the first place.

“Bruce Campbell (Ash) is back in in top form as the goofy title character, who manages to kill the undead despite his bumbling nature (he also inadvertently unleashes the return of the Deadite plague).”

The series is produced by Sam Raimi, who also directed the pilot episode. Production is still currently underway in New Zealand.

Ash vs. Evil Dead” will be aired on October 31, 2015.
