Home in the Clouds

Choreographer and former Footnote dancer Lisa Densem returns to New Zealand from Berlin, where she has been based for over a decade, to collaborate with the company on a new work called, Cloud In Hand. Footnote Forte is an initiative to bring outstanding New Zealand dance artists home to make work in New Zealand and to bring their artistic voice to local stages and dances. Footnote joined Densem in October at the Ufer Studios in Berlin to develop a new Forte work that will open in Wellington in March as part of the New Zealand Fringe Festival, and tour through to the end of April. Director of Footnote Deirdre Tarrant said: “This particular homecoming has been some years in the planning, and it is wonderful to bring Lisa home. She is a very special New Zealander and has made her name so far away.”
