Hoseah Partsch to Tour With Boy George
Eighteen-year-old New Zealand-born Hoseah Partsch, who made it to The Voice Australia grand finale earlier this month, is preparing to tour with his mentor Boy George in Australia later this year.
Partsch, who said he’s still just a “normal kid”, will juggle year 12 studies and tour with Boy George’s band Culture Club.
“People say I’m popular at school, but honestly I’m a normal Islander kid that just wants to pass school, I guess,” Partsch said.
“ … It is so surreal. Honestly I’m so thankful for this opportunity that Boy has given me and I can’t wait to see him again … I’ve never met Culture Club before but I can’t wait.”
Partsch was runner-up to winner Judah Kelly on The Voice Australia.
“He’s not only a wonderfully talented artist, he’s a fabulous guy with a big heart and I’m backing him,” Boy George recently told the Daily Telegraph.
“I’m delighted to welcome him to the Culture Club tour.”
The ‘80s music legend recently shared a post about Partsch with his 302,000 Instagram followers.
“Hoseah, you are the best of Australia, broad shoulders, good heart, smiling even when you are criticised, humble when you are given a compliment,” he wrote.
“Your smile lights up the room, your voice touches everyone’s heart. I am so proud to represent you on Team George.”
