Lucy Lawless Joins ‘Ash Vs. Evil Dead’
Lucy Lawless will reunite with her “Xena: Warrior Princess” co-star Bruce Campbell on Starz’s “Ash Vs. Evil Dead”, which begins filming in Lawless’ native New Zealand in April.
She will play Ruby, a mysterious figure who is myopic in her quest to hunt down the source of the recent evil outbreaks. The only problem: she believes that Ash is the cause of it all.
The TV series catches up with Ash as he travels from town to town, trying to keep a low profile, while dealing with his demon-filled past and combating any new threats.
The 10-episode series also marks a reunion for Lawless with Sam Raimi and (her husband) Rob Talpert, who executive produced “Spartacus”, “Xena”, and “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys”.
