Over but Not Quite Out
No.1 women’s squash player, Carol Owens, retired from her professional career on a high note by winning her second World Open title in December. Owens may still represent NZ at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne: “I don’t think I can completely retire from the sport yet because it’s given me so much. Ending your career is always a hard decision to make, but it’s been a successful one and I think it’s time to get out on top.”
