Phil Keoghan’s 23 Destinations You Have To See Before You Die
In honor of Season 23 of The Amazing Race, BuzzFeed Travel spoke to Kiwi adventurer and The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan to find out his favourite destinations from around the world- and New Zealand’s New Chums Beach in the Coromandel Peninsula and Queenstown made the list.
Consistently voted one of the world’s top beaches, Keoghan rated New Chums beach. “There are no roads to this idyllic destination. It takes about 30 minutes to walk around the rugged coast line and a climb through the native New Zealand bush before you are rewarded with this spectacular national treasure.”
Meanwhile, Keoghan crowned Queenstown as “The adventure capital of the world!” Queenstown was where he broke a world record bungee jump leading with the commercial inventor Henry Van Asch. “There are more adventure opportunities packed into this little town than any other place on earth,” he said.
