Queenstown Airport Approach Voted the Most Stunning

The airport approach into Queenstown, New Zealand has been voted the most stunning out of 147 global nominations in the 2015 Airport Poll by private charter flight company PrivateFly, which ranked this year’s Top 10 Most Stunning Airport Approaches.

“We’ve been in the Top 10 for the past few years so it’s very exciting to take out the number one spot, especially given the beauty of the other airport approaches worldwide”, said Scott Paterson, Queenstown Airport Chief Executive.

Queenstown Airport lies “in the heart of New Zealand’s magical landscapes of mountains, lakes and wild rivers” and the airport approach offers views over the Southern Alps and “pristine turquoise rivers and lakes”.

“I’ve flown to many beautiful locations worldwide but NOTHING even comes close to comparing with the thrill and beauty that stuns you as you come in to land at Queenstown”, said one of the voters.

Another voter described their experience as “I had no words, just tears of awe and beauty when I landed here! It’s completely enveloped by mother nature”.
