Rebecca Taylor Launches La Vie for Everyday

New York-based fashion designer, New Zealander Rebecca Taylor has launched a lower-end offshoot of her eponymous range. Each piece of La Vie, as its name suggests, was designed to be seamlessly adapted into your everyday life, according to the Observer.

“Replete with flouncy feminine frocks, flattering denim pieces and some seriously cosy jackets, this is a source of staples that will be relevant for seasons to come. Adding to the allure of La Vie are the prices, which start at US$95 for a t-shirt and top out at US$395 for a jacket.”

“Taylor’s penchant for throwing a ruffle on a dress and selecting sweet florals is still present, but the pieces in La Vie are made for those casual shoppers out there. That would be someone who considers denim to be a formal piece and gravitates towards a chunky knit sweater or the perfect Victorian blouse.”

“‘The La Vie collection reflects my personal style, an eclectic mix of vintage utilitarian pieces that I’ve collected from my favourite spots around the world,’ Taylor said. ‘I wanted to create a collection that felt relaxed and slightly undone, yet still maintained a sense of casual cool.” We think she’s definitely accomplished that goal.”
