Sirs and Dames or Sheilas and Cobbers?

Four NZers received our country’s highest award via the Queen’s jubilee year honours list. Those admitted to the Order of New Zealand were; ex-Governor General Dame Catherine Tizard, Auckland anthropologist and Maori leader Sir Hugh Kawharu, former Court of Appeal president Lord Cooke of Thorndon, and Christchurch justice campaigner and activist for the disabled Dame Ann Ballin.
