Urban takes on Willis

Actor Karl Urban, 38, plays the role of a CIA agent in the movie Red, which is based on the comic book limited series of the same name and which was released this month in the United States. Urban engages in a full-on, hand-to-hand fight with former black-ops agent Frank Moses, portrayed by Bruce Willis, in a scene that Urban described as “gnarly.” For the sequence, filmed over a two-and-a-half-week period, Urban trained with five-time world jujitsu champion Buster Reeves. “They wanted to show me what the in-game was, so they actually got me in various positions to be choked out so I could know what it would feel like,” Urban said. “It’s not every day that you get to throw a punch at Bruce Willis, is it?” British actress Helen Mirren also stars.
