Washington D.C. Out in Numbers for Aldous Harding

New Zealand singer-songwriter Aldous Harding, who is currently on tour in the United States, performed songs from her latest album Warm Chris, to a capacity crowd at Washington D.C.’s Miracle Theatre. The show is reviewed by Mark Jenkins for The Washington Post.

“Harding strums an acoustic guitar and lilts in a dulcet soprano – some of the time,” Jenkins writes. “But seemed perpetually in search of new and unexpected tone colours. Her voice shifted, sank and slurred, delivering cryptic lyrics in a variety of timbres.”

Harding’s final shows in the US are in Englewood, Colorado on 1 July and at the Granada Theatre in Lawrence, Kansas on 2 July. She then heads to Europe, playing first on 15 August in Keflavik, Iceland.
