With Guns Blazing Manhattan Establishment Opens

Auckland-born chef Matt Lambert has opened The Musket Room, a 65-seat establishment in Manhattan’s Nolita, New York. “Named for the Musket Wars of the early 19th century … the menu has Asian touches like black garlic, litchi and ginger to add moxie to corned wagyu tongue, smoked scallops and venison.” New Zealand’s sole master sommelier, Cameron Douglas, curates a program of New Zealand and Australian wines. Lambert was previously chef de cuisine at New York’s PUBLIC and more recently at grill Saxon + Parole.
